Rip Tik Tok Trends As The Internet Weighs In On The Ban On Chinese App

The recent tension between India and China and its delegates have given rise to massive uproar and debates on prime time television. It all happened when the border conflict resulted in the death of Indian soldiers in the Galwan valley and left troops injured. Needless to say, the tragedy fuelled the long-withstanding fire and eventually resulted in the ban of Chinese. In a landmark decision, the Indian government has imposed a ban on 59 Chinese apps including popular lip-syncing platform Tik Tok.


Ravi Shankar Prasad, Electronics & Information Technology Minister of India, even took to Twitter to state that the decision is curb the breach of information and wrote, “For safety, security, defence, sovereignty & integrity of India and to protect data & privacy of people of India the Government has banned 59 mobile apps. Jai Hind! Flag of India.” Many celebrities like Amrita Rao Kushal Tandon and Nia Sharma have welcomed the decision and even tweeted in the favour of the same.
